Strange Encounters Of The Fuzzy Kind

After every NTRA (National Thoroughbred Racing Association) race in American, some very official people carefully dissect and record the whens, wheres and hows of the event for history in what is known as an "Equabase Report". These reports preserve information such as the condition of the track, the times, the positions at various intervals, the way the horses are running "under a hard hold" "running well" "steadied", all the names of the horses, jockeys, breeders, owners, etc...

If you'd like to see a copy of a very strange report, click here and note the #3 horse name Marion County, who came in 5th. (He broke from post 3, so that's the number by his name, but he came in 5th, so that's the order you will find him in.) Pay particular attention to the "comment" section and the "footnote" section as it relates to him...and his strange encounter...
