Freedom Through Betrayal

I am a study in conflict. Scottish and Irish to kick it off right; Native American to boot. Germans and Czechs haven't always been friends, Especially when you throw in some Jew. I'm a Southerner in the North, A hick in the city, Common folk infiltrating The halls of the academy. Too liberal for conservatives. Too conservative for liberals. Too savvy for socialism - Too socialist for libertarians. Too feminine to preach. Too masculine to marry. Too kind to be a prophet. Too pissed to be a pastor. I'm a Christian who can't find a church In a city with more churches than people (not really). But nevertheless, nobody wants me on Sundays praying beneath their church steeple. I'm too educated for most jobs, But not enough for my own. Too poor to pay my bills, Too busy working to notice. Too polite to be respected, Until you don't - and get corrected. Too Socratic for dogmatics Until they preach and get rejected. I've been called "too emotional" and "too intellectual," "too mystical," and "too theological," "too romantic," and "too feminist" - eh tu, Brutas? Go womenists. I'm also too poetic to not speak in verse; but, sadly, too tired to edit this first.
