DING, DING, DING, DING!!! ANSWER!!!
The answer to the question posed in the last post is...
**Recognition of the Sacred Feminine**
Now, please don't misunderstand, Oprah and I do NOT understand the sacred feminine the same way - and the same should be said for Oprah and the wiccins. In fact, I'm afraid she might be very upset at me for being misleading!
(Well, ok, Oprah Winfrey doesn't really read my blog guys, so I guess she wouldn't know...or care...)
Oh, don't be so shocked!
To be honest, I'm still trying to collect my thoughts - it's a very broad subject. I guess I've found it interesting that some folks have completely freaked out over the book, "The Da Vinci Code". In fact, just today, I saw the latest issue of Christianity Today and there's "The Da Vinci Code", right on the front cover!
Now, CT's biggest beef was the questioning of "the very authority of Scripture", and from what I saw, they really didn't even bring up the issue of the sacred feminine, but this is one of my points. The "sacred feminine" or the "divine feminine" is popping up all over the place, and the church hasn't said anything about it.
What does "the sacred feminine" mean? We'll talk about it. But for now, my call is for the church to do just that - talk about it! If we don't, we forfeit this potentially powerful idea and hand it over to - well, to the wiccins and secular fiction authors and the likes.
We need to have something to say about it!!!
More to come, but tell me what you're thinking - comment away!
